Muskoka Bouquet with jewels and pearls

A rainy summer day in Muskoka cannot dampen the spirits of a couple in love.  Amanda and Cam’s wedding clearly proves that point.  They chose the stunning lakefront venue of Touchstone Resort to host their wedding.  And the Boathouse served as a perfect ceremony location.

Our team arrived at Touchstone just in time to unload everything in a torrential down pour.  We thought it would rain itself out and then revel a beautiful, sunny sky.  Silly us!

We proceeded to dress the guest tables with rustic burlap, wooden “Muskoka Chargers”, birch votive candle holders, and birch-wrapped vases filled with white and peach flowers and airy birch twigs.

In the Boathouse, which was to be the after dinner party area, we draped out some of the walls to create a slightly softer, more romantic fee.  We strung paper lanterns in shades of peach, pink, coral, white and kraft paper, all in varying sizes, across the ceiling.  With the downpour not stopping in time for the ceremony, the Boathouse did double duty when the ceremony was moved inside.  Sweet little jars filled with romantic and rustic flowers and foliage, were tied to the chairs with twine to line the aisle.

Amanda’s bouquet was one of my favorites.  I love blending rustic with glam, and that’s exactly what we did by adding jeweled pearl brooches into the body of the bouquet, and wrapping strands of pearls over the burlap ribbon which tied the stems.

Enjoy the beautiful pictures, all expertly captured by Sage & Sea Co., and for which we are super thankful!
